ZodiaScope (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use zodiascope.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The policy applies to all pages and tools on this site.
What we collect
We collect very little, by design. Our calculators are built to run in your browser, so what you type into a tool generally never leaves your device.
Calculator inputs. Dates, locations, birth details, and other values you enter into our calculators are processed locally in your web browser to produce your result. We do not receive, store, or transmit these inputs. When you close the page, they are gone.
Information you send us. If you contact us through the contact form, we receive the contents of your message and any contact details you include, so we can read and respond to it. We use this information only to handle your message.
Automatic log data. Like nearly every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information when you visit: the pages you request, the date and time of the visit, your browser type and operating system, the referring page, and a truncated form of your IP address. We use this log data to keep the site running, to understand which pages are popular, and to detect abuse or attacks. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Cookies. We use a small number of cookies and similar storage to make the site work properly, for example to remember your cookie consent choice and to keep basic site functions working. Some of these are set by third parties described below.
Advertising and Google AdSense
ZodiaScope is free to use, and we fund the site with advertising. We use Google AdSense and may use other advertising providers to display ads.
- Advertising providers may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out of a third-party provider’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info/choices or, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking all cookies or deleting them after your visit. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work, but our calculators do not require cookies to run.
Analytics and other third parties
We may use analytics tools that collect aggregated, non-identifying information about how visitors use the site, such as which tools are popular and how pages perform. This helps us improve the site. These tools may set their own cookies, and their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share information you provide to us with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including serving the site over HTTPS and limiting access to stored messages to the people who handle them. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How we handle contact messages
Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to read them and respond when a response is warranted. We do not add you to any mailing list, we do not share your message with third parties for marketing, and we do not use your contact details for any purpose other than handling your message. If you ask us to delete your message, we will.
Children’s privacy
ZodiaScope is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the contact form, please let us know through our contact page and we will delete it promptly.
International visitors
Our servers may be located in a different country from yours. By using the site, you understand that log data and contact messages may be processed in the country where our hosting is located.
Your choices
You can use the calculators without providing any personal information at all. You can block or delete cookies through your browser. You can opt out of personalized advertising through the links in the advertising section above. If you have sent us a message and would like it deleted, contact us through the contact page and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or to applicable law. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this policy or about your information, please reach out through our contact page.
